Miki Kawasaki

Copywriter, editor, content creator for food brands

About Me

Hello, I’m Miki

(Rhymes with sneaky)

I used to eat a lot and write a little. Now I’d say it’s about 50/50.

I’m a writer and editor for food brands and have 10+ years experience doing this within marketing, product, creative, and editorial channels. My specialties are brand communications, content marketing, product writing, and culinary media, including recipe development and service journalism. Along the way, I picked up some skills in graphic and web design, digital photography, and content management.

I’ve contributed to online publications like Serious Eats and Chowhound, overseen recipe content and editorial operations for a meal-kit company, and managed brand voice as a grocery copywriter. Prior to all of this, I worked in restaurants and received my master’s in food studies.

When I’m not on the job, you’ll find me cooking in my tiny New York City apartment kitchen, writing and performing comedy, cycling, yoga-ing, and indulging my inner teenage art freak.

If you’re seeking a nitwit who knows their way around words, food, and visuals (and how to combine them all), let’s talk.
